BTW, for people who went to the LA one - were you able to take pics?
This seems to be right before the Chicago Auto Show, so they are just throwing a pre-party since the LFA is there anyway. Given this, I'd imagine that there will be events in Dallas and NYC before their auto shows since the LFA will be there too, so people in those areas may be getting invites soon. Did anyone go to the Detroit one / know if there was an event?

I just read that Lexus is only buiding 500 of the ISF and that if you don't pass their interview process you don't get the car. Or is that 500 cars per year? On the ISF website Lexus shows new colors for the 2011 model year.
I have the $350K to spend. Sounds like I need to buy a Aston Martin DBS instead. Or may be a Mercedes SLR.

FWIW, I've been told that Chicago-area dealerships have been given invites to the Chicago LFA preview event to pass out to their customers. So if you've expressed interest to a dealer, look out for a phone call or mailing!

The Homestead event was a hoot
They took us out first to beat the weather
Scott is very nice and easy to speak with
Six folks taken out
Bonus Kyle Busch was there
He was great and showed us pix of his dune
racer
The lfa sounds nasty even at a 1k idle
I will post pics tomorrow

From my understanding it is the flat black one?

Yes, the flat black is the only one of the four cars in the US.
Other fun facts:
The real number is $375K in the US.
$10K to say OK, another $50K to set up the order in June and a total of
$300K by delivery. The remaining $x at close of the lease.
Some interior options will cost extra as well as the additional paint colors for year 2.
The sat radio antenna and little winglets in the back can be deleted.
No changes are expected from the prototype to the production car except some shift software tweeks (no different wheels or spoiler changes).
There is a nice small shelf behind the seats to put a briefcase.
The only thing that broke in over 4000 miles on the track is a piece on the seatbelt.
The toll free number will shut down soon.
My head snapped forward much more than Scott's when he demonstrated the braking capabilities, just like Justin Bell in the Leno's garage video.
Some Lexus folks got to drive the car later in the day. Scott drove an ISF ahead of them as a pace car.
The truckers who move the LFA from site to site also got rides.
They had two Sema cars, an IS and a GS in matte finishes there.
Above the track, a fighter jet kept buzzing by. Not part of the event.

Scott Pruett is a stand up guy. I've taken hot laps with him in the LFA and the ISF when it first came out. I wish they had the LFA event at Laguna Seca like they did with the ISF. I'm sure the corkscrew in the LFA with Scott in the drivers seat would be unbelievable.
