Default cd Error message on radio

Does anyone know what error message on cd changer means. Just had the 400 for three weeks and changer does this everytime I press cd on radio. Have tried several different cd's.

Thanks for any info

If you have a multi tray cd player, you may have a cd stuck already. If you have the changer in the trunk, its fixable in a couple minutes. You slide back the lid, hold down the black button inside, and let the tray come up. Then look to see if a cd is still inside. if so...take some twesers and carfully remove the cd.

Are you talking about the button on the door. I do not see any other button.

I take it, you do have the changer in the trunk. Ok first, you need to understand that you may not have a cd in there...and if not, this is all a waiste. But you might aswell give it a go. Ok, the button is on the inside wall
______
| <---- (here) its black so look closly. feel for it...its top left corner of the wall if you slide the lid away
----------- from you. If you slide it towards you, then its top right. Try and find it. if you do, hold it down until the cd cartrage comes up... let me know and ill right more later.

LexusPunk,

thanks for taking the time to respond and give suggestions. I pulled cd player loose where i could see inside and there is no disk inside. There is power and changer moves up and down to find the disk. When you press cd on radio it displays the correct disk sets there for a moment then error comes up on screen. I would appreciate any more suggestions if you have any.

Thanks again

Michael

ok if it clicks once....its ok. but if its clicking multiple times( like somethings bumping) its no good.
humm.....oh perhaps you need to reset the changer. to do this, find the little button (tiny) on the same wall as the button before and use a pen to push it in. then it should be reset. If that doesnt help...we'll have to do some research.

The clicking i hear is as it checks the cartridge for the disk. If you keep the door open you can see it pulling each compartment open then closing it back till it finds the disk. When it finds the disk it stops there and then there is just silence. I have the 6 disk changer and i dont know if i said it is a 91 LS 400

Had the same problem and after a couple days of messing with it realized I was putting the CDs in upside down in the cartridge The CDs go in top side down on some changers...Good Luck!
