Making ML Audio better?
History:
When I got in last year the foam on all the woofers was shot. I replace them all (4 doors and sub), now the bass is back. But, now I hear this tinny, harsh sound. Especially with voice. I hear it even at low volumes, from all speakers, radio/CD/tape. I don't think it's the speakers.
Now my question:
Do I now look at the head unit being bad? or the Amp being bad? or is this just the ML trait?
If this is just the way the ML system is, is there a way to improve on it?
Is this a Amp issue or the Head Unit (actual stereo unit) ??
My bad sounding system is only on the left side! Both front and rear. Surely, all the left side speakers didn't go bad all at one time. I've replaced the foam on all the door woofers and Sub woofer, and they sound fine.
Is there a way to test the Amp or headunit (stereo) itself? is it possible for one channel to go bad?
The best way for me to describe the sound is if there was some trash in the speakers when you play them. This sound happens worse at low volume. Higher volume seems to override the sound. I hear it most in Mid-range.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I don't want to have to buy a new Amp if that's not the problem.
