Hello all..
I know this may have been covered, however prices of "08 Lexus GS350 Mark Levinson Navigation CD Player Radio W/Screen P1507 OEM" complete units seem to be falling..
I found a complete Mark Levinson unit for around $500.00.. That's said, would anyone out there know if this is "plug and play", as I currently do not have the ML and would like to upgrade.
I know I may need an ML amp to go along with this.. Also, I think my setup may be a few speakers short for the ML?

I don`t know how standard GS audio sounds like, but ML in this model is very average and I mean VERY. After all reviews I read before I bought this car I was expecting to be blown away but ML audio but I was far away from that. Standard VW audio in Golf or Passat sounds better in my opinion. If you are planning to change anything, forget about ML and go for some seperate radio or some 2din unit and try to build you own audio.

 

I think the ML system is great on certain models. The LS and LX sounds amazing but in the GS, I think the base system sounds better than the ML system. Just pair it with some good speakers, a decent sub and an amp and you'll have something so much better than the ML system.

 

ML in the 3GS isn't all that especially compared to the 4gs. But to say that the base 3GS is better than ML is just not accurate. I had an 06 gs300 base sound system. Not even close to the Ml i have in the 460 and that's with a blown speaker in the front lol.

I'm happy with the ML in my 3GS. Always thought it sounded awesome, up until I heard the 835-watt monster Lexus put in the 4GS. Now, it sounds.... good...

 

I also like the sound of ML in my car and also listened to the ML in the new IS and was good too
