Default 97-99 ES300 wiring for factory Amp

Here are the pics for the factory amp to speakers wiring for the 97-99 ES300. This may work for the 2000-2001 but I'm not sure on that but definately for the 97-99.

Firgured I'd help add to the useful info.....and nothing beats a pic of what you wanna find out.

also I've taken my Es300 apart more than a few times, I know the car pretty much back and front....so email me with any questions ...email is on my profile.....

here ya go , hope it helps

The reason I posted this is because the 92-96 wiring was posted and nothing for the 97 and up....if you a search for wiring diagram you will eventually find the one for your series Es300..

It is different than the 97-99 so dont use my post ....but the pics on that post are just as detailed as mine....

Good Luck.....but you wont need it cause you will definately find it.!

The brown wire is the ground.
These plugs are just the standard plugs that are on the rear of lower end Toyota radios. You can use AAMP/Best harness #BHA1761 & not have to cut any wires (BHO1761 fits the amp).

The BHO1761 goes to the amps outputs to another device?

And does the BHA1761 go from the back of the radio to an external device (amp, EQ etc)??

info helps alot...thanks

The BHA1761 connects to the 2 connectors that you unplugged from the amp that are going to the speakers.

The BHO1761 Plugs in the amp.

The wires on these harness are the standard red=ignition, yellow=constant, purple=RR+, etc,, etc..

Great info ....I'm sure this will help everone out even more....and avoid cutting wires like I did...I gave myself some good length so if I have to reconnect them (which I wont) then I'll do that....but if I would have known about the harness I probably would have gone that route to save myself the trouble...

But of course like always they dont post anything on these car sites that will fit the ES300....and the stuff I have found to fit ,I had to do on my own....Strut brace, powerstop rotors...etc, They just dont like the ES300 in the drop down windows I guess...lol

one question for you teamgoon.....did you post the wrong pic...?
cause I dont get why you would post a pic of the CD player ??

Bump. I'm gonna need this (and a little help) when I install the Kenwood KVT-910 in my ES300 (1999) later this week. Help!!!!

So far, I have the wire harness (this one)

for the ES300. They say its for 1992-99 years. I'm guessing it matches with the wide plug that would go into the factrory stereo behind the dash?

I also have the Kenwood harnesses that the seller gave me

and

along with the wires for the unit

and the Metra dash kit

My question here is this: Will I find the LExus AMp under the passenger seat like on the 92-96 ES300 OR behind the dash (like someone's post here on CL)?

Reason being I noticed that the Kenwood wires (16 pin black plug) may not be long enough if I need to install it under the chair. I know I can extend them to behind the dash to reach the ACC, POW and Illumination/ speakers etc. but I'm confused about whether I'd have to disconnect or bypass the amp and splice into the wires OR can I use the original amp, leave it wired as it is and just use my harness for the ES300 and plug all the kenwood ones up to that. Has anyone who's done this remember how the install went? I know a few people had this radio back in 02-03 and may have forgotten about this mod since folks have moved onto other things.

Thanks. I've tried searching but no one has detailed instructions or a write up on how they installed this unit or a motorized screen/unit
Mike

Thanks for the PMs guys. I'm still working on the HID retrofits as we speak. I had a small setback early in the week so Wednesday installation was postponed a couple days to the weekend but look for this and the navi install coming up.

I'll make a seperate thread/writeup on that too

I am tired of the black lcd screen in my 99 es and want to update it with an older alpine that i have.

What harness would i use and is there any way to use the cd changer in the dash with an aftermarket cable?
