i think the amp is behind the glovebox.

I bought a harness for $10 shipped and $20 for the kit, both off fleabay.

Now i need to get rid of that f-in noise. I used to have 5k worth of equipment in my cars back in the 90's with no whine and i can't get rid of this itty bitty problem.

I'll try this weekend to ground it to the chassis properly, but i may have to bypass the amp also.

As a bonus i found a cd in my old alpine from over 6 years ago, and it kicks ***.

I just wish that wee could use the cd changer with an aftermarket hu

Angry I know this is old but please help

Trying to install a pioneer head unit in 97 es300. It already has the wire harness adapter cuz I'm removing another pioneer radio. EXCEPT the new radio doesn't have rca ports for the harness to plug into. So does that mean I can't use this radio and I have to buy a certain one with 4 rca ports on the back? Need help asap

Hey just figuring this out for my car. Finally got sick of the black LCD on the stock unit. I'm sure you already figured it out, but You will have to cut the wires off the back of the stock amp (shown in the pic at the beginning of this thread) and wire directly from your new head unit to those wires. You will likely have to extend the wires to reach the amp wires

If you use the Best Kits BHA8112, you go straight to the factory amp and it outputs to all 7 speakers, including the sub.

If you wire to the harness on the back side(bypassing the factory amp) using the BHA1761, I don't know if the sub will get a signal.
