I just recently bought a Sony WX-4500X double DIN unit for my car, i plan to add a DVD player and a trio of screens in a few months....

My question is, will this aftermarket unit be able to work with a dvd player and screens? Im not sure if im asking that right though.....um..

Do you have to have a certain type of head unit to control a dvd player? or can any head unit be turned into a central command and have a dvd player attached to it?

anyway, if that deck has a Aux input, then you can add a dvd player to it without any problems.

 

what if it doesnt will i be forced to get a unit with an aux output or is there a device that can attach to it...

anyway, Iooked up your deck on crutchfield and it says there are no aux inputs.

 

damn no aux inputs? so that means if i want to add a video system i have to get a new unit.?

Another option would be to get an EQ with dual inputs. then you can put the outputs of the Sony into the EQ and the outputs of the DVD system into the 2nd input of the EQ. Then just use the input switch on the EQ when you want to go between the two.

Will play the audio portion thru a select channel on your FM radio

 

so with the RF unit, i can connect the DVD player into my head unit and then the screens into the DVD player. Did i get that right?
