The JL amps are quite good. I would definatly consider them. I do agree with the previous response ... I'm not a big fan of the subs unless you are going for loud ghetto boom.

Like you said I'm not interested going for loud ghetto boom, what other subs do you guys recommend?
As I said in another thread, I tried many configurations with a 10W7 in different sealed boxes facing many directions. I also tried a 10W3 ... It still was very peaky/boomy for my musical tastes. This is all a matter of opinion and taste!
I now have an IDQ 12" in the stock location and I dig it. It will hit hard if I want it and its musical. I kept the JL 500/1 amp on it. The IDQ is also 1/3 of the price!
I think I'm gonna put the 10W7 in my home theater sub. That should just about KILL... Can't wait to try it
