Default 2000 SC400 Audio

I have 2000 SC with the Premium Nakami system I was looking into an aftermarket Head Unit I
was currently looking at the Pioneer FH-X700BT Head-Unit it seems as a good bang for buck
kinda deal & some price estimates for installation.
I would really appreciate some recommendations also for what front panel speakers i should go with as I am also looking into replacing those as well. I'm also open to any other suggestions such as subs ect I actually have an Alpine SWR-1243D lying around would it be possible to replace the rear stock 10 with that?
I will post a link to the two head units I am considering

FH-X700BT

If you're on a budget, I'd suggest you splurge a little more on a better head unit. A better head unit alone will increase your sound quality. You should get one with higher pre-amp voltage, no less then 4 volts. Amazon has the best prices on everything. Here's a few better choices for you. Also a cheap head unit will actually decrease the value of your car.

Really, if these work with the nak amp, ill totally buy it. I read a couple threads that the nak amp didn't work well with 3rd party heads.

I say JL Audio, Polk or MB Quart, if you can find them.

Your 2000 SC has the last of the Nakamichi. If it is anything like the one in my 2000 LS400, the sound must be wonderful..

My solution for streaming Pandora, Slacker and other audio services from the Internet to the Nakamichi in my 2000 LS400 was to have John Nguyen at http://factoryradioservice.com/index.php in California add a 3.5mm aux-in to the back of it with a 6' cord and an on/off switch on the face of the Nakamichi next to the fader ****.

Total cost was something like $100. I can't tell the difference in sound quality between streaming the same music from my phone and from a commercial CD. John's workmanship and service was as perfect as you can get. He shipped the head unit back to me in about 24 hours after he received it. He also replaced the backlight bulbs in my Nak for another $10 or so. I've done a lot of mods to cars but this one was the best.

Here is a photo of my phone streaming Pandora to my Nak.

Thanks for that alternative option I never thought of that, but yes the sound is really good in my car, but at higher volumes I can tell the front two speakers are blown kinda tinny with certain audio & I just want a head unit that compliments the rest of the car well also even though it sounds good I believe with a better Head Unit and replaced front speakers i can get the quality I want.

Your right Feel free to post some more options I am open to any options now I would very much appreciate it. I would rather wait and get something that I won't want to upgrade or simply not be as satisfied with in the future might as well do it right the first time even though I don't plan on ever selling it I absolutely love my SC

Their are the pics I also had another question about those touch screens reliability under the heat I do my best to shade the car and cover it with a sun guard, but it inevitably gets hot out here how do they hold in high temperatures? Perhaps I'm worrying to much rather be safe than sorry I've never been a fan of touch screens always liked my solid buttons. This is just due to the touch screens I've dealt with in the past. Do you have any experience with these yourself? I'm more than willing to give them a shot though.
Thanks hope I'm not asking to much being new to forum an all feel free to let me know.

Well I just bought this based on reviews, I didn't get a chance to install it this week however I did a tune up and a bunch of other things. Pioneer AVH-X5500BHS.

Like I said the reviews are phenomenal for this model, and as far as touching the screen goes I don't plan to do that much with the included remote. You have your windows tinted so UV rays shouldn't be too much of a problem as far as fading goes, keeping a heat shield in your car isn't a bad idea though. I know this is nearly double your budget, but I rather splurge and get something great. The speed on this HU is what sold me on it. I like things to work fast, if I touch the screen it's gotta be instant action no delay and this si supposed to be good as far as that goes. I also get a back up camera, not sure how I'm going to install it yet tho. This stereo is a 2013 model so everything is current. I've seen the price go for $359 at it's lowest.

It's been awhile, but I finally had time to look at the posts

http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00A02...sr=8-1&pi=SL75

Or

http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00B7I...167160-6180346

I'm caught between the two I would appreciate anyone with experience with either add input on these head units
My main concern is how do the two differ in terms of audio quality if their is little to no difference I will choose the kenwood over the pioneer on the other hand if the pioneer is indeed noticeably better quality wise ill get it. This is between the two I understand their are more expensive options but I have to set a ceiling and the pioneers already pushing it lol
Hope to hear from someone on this thanks !
