Does anyone know where I can get a real good Double Din replacement radio for a lexus. I want optimum peformance from my audio system and I dont want a space below the radio. What is the best possible unit that I can put in there and how can I get one?????????

Alpine

Try that site above.. You should be able to find what you want.. Pioneer also makes a nice double din unit as well!

Unless you go to something that is hitting 4.5 to 5 volts you aren't going to improve your performance over what you already have. The Alpine and Pioneer systems are going to look like they belong in a space shuttle with all of the different lighting effects. May not look to good in a classy Lexus. If I were you, I would focus on a quality amp, speakers, wires, and capacitor to make my system sound the best it can.

You can also combine a single DIN unit with an EQ or sound processor placed directly beneath it. If installed correctly, it will look even better than a double DIN. If you use Eclipse or Kenwood Excelon, you will be into the 4.5 and 5 volt range that will give you the best sound out of your CD player.

Angry Just dont do it....

I dont know guys, as long as the stock head unit and CD are working, why pull them. The car just looks so much nicer (IMHO). As I've posted before, it is really easy to tap into the system for RCA level outs (the head unit puts out 5 channels!), then with a quality amp ( I have JL audio 500/1, 300/4 and 300/2), good speakers (Diamond Audio), Capacitor (2 fared), and Line Driver (Definetly get a quality driver, I am getting a 6 channel Audio Control Line Driver + EQ this fall when they release it, until then I'm using an audiobahn. Sounds really great and I use the stock head unit and 12 disk.

see the post stereo hackensack.
