Default JL xd 600/1 with 12w6v2

i just got this set up and it just doesn't seem to give me enough output. i have the sub inside of a sealed enclosure as well. for a w6, it's not really giving me what i want.. any suggestions on how to make it sound better?

port the enclosure. either a prefab or custom enclosure will work as long it's built to jl's specs or better. there are thousands of threads on ported and sealed enclosures for you to read up on. what kind of car do you have?

You'd be surprised. I had an old xtant 1001 pushing 2-12w6v2's sealed in my Tahoe and those damn things slammed!

it's in my 2gen gs. the box that i got for it is almost up to specs, but i've been doing my research and seems as if a lot of people are running a bigger amp. a lot bigger. i didn't want to get ported because i like how in a sealed box, it's a good clean punch and that's it. but maybe i might check out my w6 in a ported and see if i like it

i didn't remove the stock sub cause from what i read, it was a little complicated to take it out. i'm really thinking about running a different amp right now but i gotta sell this one first. gonna lose a lot of money that's for sure.
