MMATS 4000.1 for daily use?

i am getting a mmats 4000.1 next week. mmats says it is for competition use only. it does not have circuit protection and is mainly for spl and burps. has anyone used one of these amps for a daily driver. i would imagine if i was not playing at full output all the time it should be fine. it will be wired to a orion 12" hcca dual 2ohm sub. any thoughts or opinions?

anyone using any kind of spl competition amps at 1ohm and 4k rms as a daily amp?
it's funny that most people can answer q's about mods but not sounds. just saying thats all........no offense intended

I know plenty (and have installed many) that are used daily. I'm sure you didn't intend to offend, but it comes off that way when you have the above in your signature, then complain that you can't get a question answered...

i see what you mean big mack! ill correct that in my sig. and i was not complaing , originally i had it posted in the wrong place , moderator moved it and you answered. i install and hook up many many amps daily. but none of my installs were a mmats 4000.1 for a daily driver, in my experience its better to get advice or answers about what i do not know from people who do , rather than just guess at it. thanks for the help.

Where you ta in Illinois? There are some shows coming up you should check out. Team DOA and Team DTF will be out in force. I'm on DOA. In Japan though

To answer your question with a question. What is your electrical like? I wouldn't run a 4k amp on stock alt and batt. You could probably get away with it running the sub at 4 ohm but I wouldn't do anything but a burp on stock electrical at 1 ohm.
