Pricing ?
I'm having 2 sets of Kenwood KFC-P403 components (buying), a Kicker 12" Free Air Sub (buying), a 4 channel amp (already have), and a 2 channel amp (already have) all installed in my 93 GS 300. One shop has quoted me ~ $900 for parts and labor, and another shop quoted me ~ $600 for parts and labor. Is the $600 a pretty good price, or should I keep looking for that great deal. I would do the work myself, but I live in an apartment and I don't want to hear my neighbor's attitude about me working on my car in the parking lot. In addition, can someone confirm that the front and rear speakers in the 93 GS300 are 4".
Thanks,
Kareem

Where are you buying your stuff from? When someone walks into my friends' shop with stuff the purchased on the internet or from Circuit City they automatically add an "F You" fee which is usually double the normal.
Are you using the factory head unit? If so, you'll need a line driver.
The doors should accomodate 5 1/4" easily, but I would have them pull a door panel to make sure because I think some of the GS3s did have smaller door speakers.
Anyway, good luck! It sounds kinda high, but if they do exemplary work then it will be worth every penny.

The drivers in my 95 GS are 4.5 inches. 4 inch will fall through the hole and 5 inch will require some cutting of the plastic cabinet. It's worth enlarging them to 5 inch, because you will then have a wider choice of replacement.

****. I don't know why I though the doors were 4" speakers. I'm supposed to go there tomorrow morning, but now they're not going to have the equiptment. I may have to rethink this thing. Thanks for the help guys.
