Hey everyone! I just had a new Kenwood 9980 installed in my 01 GS3 and the installer can't get any sound. Said that the wiring harness doesn't match up and the system needs to to be rewired with an addtional amp for the sub. I can either buy an amp for just the sub or get a 5 way amp to power all the speakers. Has anyone had this issue? Am I getting played or is this normal for our cars? PLEASE HELP

 

amp is behind the glove box, your going to need to take apart the glove box and get to the amp

one of the harness's (i forgot which 1) is a direct plug and play you just needa run the wires back to your head unit

u can still get to play you just have to run the harness all the way to the amp and plug it in.

this method is called the amp bypass.
