Default Amp wiring question...

Ok I am installing this in my brothers car... I am running 2 12" Kicker Solobarics. I am running a 1 channel mono amp. The amp is 350w x 1 at 4 ohm or else 750w x 1 at 2 ohm, the amp is capable of 4 and 2 ohm operations only. My subs are each 4 ohms. How much power is each getting if it is wired like below?
AMP
+ kicker #1 +
-- kicker #1 --
+ kicker #2 +
-- kicker #2 --
So wired like this does that mean it is spliting the 350 watts?

What if I wired it like this:
AMP
+
--
+ kicker #1 + and kicker #2 + together
-- kicker #1 -- and kicker #2 -- together
If you wire the two 4 ohm subs like that you will get a 2 ohm load (added the two positives and two negatives together). So now would it be splitting the 750 between the two so they each are getting 375w?

Thanks a lot!

Since your amp is only a 1-ch, there is only 1 way to connect it up to maximize the subs, parallel run to the amp. Are the Solobarics the L5 or L7? If so, they are DVC with either 2-ohm or 4-ohm voice coils. Wire each sub up as series-parallel. Each sub will be getting half of the total wattage the amp is capable, since you are adding an extra load, as compared to only having one. I assume your amp has 2 sets of terminal pairs, and both configuration are the same. If you have the older round Solo's, then either configuration is fine.

They are are the round. We wired them in parrallel and it sounds great. The one question is how can you be sure how many ohm the sub is. I am assming 4 ohm becuase that is what most subs are, but I checked the Kicker webpage and it list 2,4,8 ohms.

If you can't physically identify it by the (if present) sticker tag, then the only other way is to use an ohmmeter, which will show the DC resistance of the coil.

Since you have only a 1-channel amp, the dual set of output connections are the same - they're just there for convenience in hooking up two subs to the same set of connections. The first way you wired it had the two subs in parallel - if they are in fact 4 ohms each, then this is a two ohm total load and the amp will produce the 750 watts max. Each sub will receive half the current and thus half the power.
The second way you showed for wiring it up is identical to the first.
