Default Mark Levinson - No sound

I purchased my GS430 with ML ausio not long ago and my stereo has no sound. Everything is operating as it should. The HU works, the CD changer works but I hear nothing. Before I decide to completely gut my system and start from scratch, I wanted to know if anyone has had this issue and what contributed to it? Is it the amp? I have had an electronic tech look at the amp and he said everything looks good. I can't go on not listening to my system.
Thnx

so all the functions work but no sound at all?

i had the same problem where i could change everything, adjust the volume etc... turns out the pin connection gets stuck some times. my buddy use to see this all the time when he worked at bmw. apparently it has something to do with the connection for the steering wheel. he told me to turn the wheel all the way to the right and leave it like that for about 15 mins. i came back, turned the car on and everything worked.

i dont know, its sounds pretty weird but it fixed my problem.

Thanks IXI187IXI. I will attempt to do as you recommended. It is just frustrating not having sound. My GS is an '03, I purchased it from a Dr. here in Toronto.

Here is how the problem began. First my CD changers cartridge kept ejecting itself. Then after installing it a couple more times it was working perfectly. I was driving and listening to the stereo, with the fader at +4 to the rear then no sound. I shut the GS off and restarted it, then turned the radio on and it worked, two minutes later i had no sound.
Could I have a loose connection, is the amp fried? Could I have a ground problem?
Thanks in advance.

I have a 2001 GS 300 with Mark Levinson Sounds and Navigation.

For the first time since I got it the Radio's/Cd's sound went completely out.No volume and you could not adjust the volume or the rear/front speakers or balance from left to right. The nav voice was still audible.I went through the entire screen and found nothing like a mute button or anything but it was almost as if the sound was muted.

I pulled over and turned the car off and the sound returned.

I am wondering if there is a problem with my radio or is it a hidden button or feature that I am missing?

For all who are experiencing the same symptoms as described in my original post, the amp ultimately was the issue. I have received a new re-manufactored amp and I finally have sound.

More than likely the amp is intermittently failing. A good portion of the logic is built into the amp.
