Any thoughts on why the Monster iPod casssette adapter keeps auto ejecting from my 05 GS300 tape deck? I'm considering the Vaistech and Dice units, but have the adapter already and want it as a short term fix since the FM units seem to all suck donkey and in OC there are too many damn FM stations to find enough dead ones to use.
It wouldn't work in my 94 ES300 either for some reason. It works decently in the wife's 04 Highlander.
That happened to me too whrn I had my stock Radio in my GS300. It wasnt a monster though, I think it was a phillips. I tried a different brand and it worked flawlessly
so take the wire that is coming from the side of the cassette adapter, and move it along the top of it and put it on the other side, then put it in the tape player. worked for me after that.
I have a problem with it now though, just becareful when you take the wire from the ipod to do it with caution and not just pull it out.. That's what I've been doing. Now it wont play from the left side of my car
Most people that use ipods aren't looking for sound quality anyways. They can't deliver in that regard - and never could. If you haven't listened to anything else, then it might as well be the best sounding thing in the world.
As for portability and cramming thousands of songs, it's one of their stronger points.
I'd get the extended warranty on any Apple/Mac product.
this is a little trick i did on my sc to keep it from auto ejecting. first, you put the cassette in and if you look inside, there is a metal piece that goes across the tape. Now what you do is put a little pressure on it then it'll start playing.
hopes this helps.
haven't had the chance...just tried the Monster 800 wireless FM transmitter type and that sucked donkey ballllllllz - OC is too packed with stations to find a dead one
I'm gonna try your trick this weekend...then I'm going to seriously look at the Grom unit since it's way less expensive than the other options and have seen some good things about it.

Am I wetoddid and missing some simple point?
I have tested and used our FMRDS kit in Orange County and LA County. I have not has any issues as all. I have used it in my Ford Explorer. Works great and displays the song information on my radio.
There is a lot of differances in what people think of an FM Transmiter. Well first off most people seem to base their feelings off of the wireless fm transmiters, they are wireless they have to fight hard to try to get a signal through to your radio, and yes there are always some issues with the wireless options.
When you use a hardwired option like we have you go inline with your antenna cables, this will have your signal go straight into your radio. Also when the iPod is pluged in and turned on, it has the kit act as a relay switch that shuts off the other FM stations from coming through to cut down all the interfernaces and bleedovers.
People that have used our PRO Install FMRDS kit have been extremely happy. We do offer you a 30 day customer satisfaction to ensure that you happy with your purchase.
Let me know if you have any questions about an industry leading Universal solution.
