Default Amp Help

So I am on phase 3 of the Lexus. Wanna get my audio set-up straightened out. I wanna go with JL all the way. I think for the price you cant beat the quality. Anyways I ditched the 10W6V2 and went with the 12W6V2. The 10" looks to small in the trunk. Anyways what JL amp should I get to power these bad boys? I heard 2 JL 500.1 and even a 1000.1 may work. I just wanna make sure that i am running the correct set-up. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks.

Heres the new badboys.

It wouldn't matter what set of JL amps you purchased, they would power it the same. Though, it'd probably be more expensive to run 2 amps of the same power. You'll also probably find it easier to wire up 1 JL 1000/1 then 2 JL 500/1 as well, without the use of a fused d-block. Depending on the enclosure, either set would be a good match up, since the amps can output its full potential regardless of impedance. Just adjust gains properly regardless of what amp you get.

i went to a couple shops and they both recommend the new jl HD750/1 They said its smaller but is much more efficient and can power both subs with ease. Anyone disagree with that? If not im thinking about picking that up tomorrow instead. Thanks for the input so far guys.

I've heard thoes amps are great. I don't think you'll have a problem with them. the nice thing about them are the size. their about 1/2 to 3/4 the width of a 500. You'd be better that way. but if not, go with the 1000/1.

i use to have my 2 12W6V2 on a PPI D2000/1 which i wired parallel to create 1ohm resistance. that setup was pretty intense for me haha. i would just go with one amp to make everything easier. especially if you want to put in a bass **** hehe. which i highly recommend, because im sure your not gona bump hard all the time.

i would go with either the HD750/1 or the 1000/1, two amps are a bit trickier to wire, i have 1 JL 500/1v2, and mounted to the back seat vertically, and i can just barely access the dial panels, but have to have a diagram with me to identify which button is which lol

but yeah, my 1 12w6v2 pounded pretty good, could just imagine how the 2 12's would be like. Are you putting them in a JL spec box? i didn't use a JL spec box either, i have one of those custom boxes made by 4080 enclosure that fits on the passenger side of the trunk. Sounds good, but i believe if i put them in a jl spec box would be even better.

yea I went with the JL HD750. Picked it up yesterday. Im getting custom enclosure made for the car. They said that the good thing about the W6 is that it doesnt need alot of space for it to perform well so thats a good thing cause i have 2. Thanks for all the help though guys.
