I was looking to get subs for my is250, any recommendations....i wanted a clear crisp sound and the bass to hit ever note....i listen to mainly hip hop and techno....so I was wondering should i do two 10s or one 12? basically it would be two 10in alpine Es or one 12in alpine R..........what should i do?

 

I just bought a pair of Alpine SWS 1043D and they are 10". I originally purchase a SWX 1243D but they are too big. SWS(type s) is pretty same which can be hided in my spare tire space(3rd GS). My technician told me that if the 10" response more agilely than 12" but 12" has deeper and louder bass. Therefore, I guess two 10" sub can satisfy your requirement.

 

are there any subs out there that can be simply retrofitted into the stock sub in the back windshield?

dont get type E's.. get the type R you will be happier trust me.
or if you like that hard hitting bass you can get a type x.
