Default AMP and SUBS

I'm thinking of getting a Profile CL1200 amp to power two Blaupunkt ODwa1000 subs in my ls400. does anyone know about the quality of these two products? Or know of better products in the general price range? thanks for any info anyone can provide me with.

This is very low quality equipment and it would sound pretty bad, no matter how you set it up. Look into Clarion and Planet Audio amplifiers.

Default quality

if it's quality you want, IMHO, go with JL Audio for both amps and subs.

Currently I have a Precision Power 6600 powering my speakers and two 10 inch JL Audio subs.

My lexus has not arrived yet. When it does, I will be getting a new JL Audio 250 watt mono amp to power my two 10 inch W0 JL Audio subs by connecting it to the factory system.

So I will be passing my Precision Power Amp to a friend of mine.

Anyway, Precision Power and JL audio both make quality products.

i'm looking for quality, but i'm a student still so i don't have the money to go all the way, otherwise i'd think about getting w7's or something in the high end. I'm looking for something that will sound good enough for the time being.

plain and simple. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.
spend a little, get a little.
you will be better off saving some extra cash and get something that you wont regret having.
otherwise, once you realize you dont like what you have, you end up buying better stuff anyway.
i see people do this all the time. they spend $400 on products cause they dont have enough money.
after they realize theyre not happy with it, they go out and buy the better stuff for approximately $800.
this is where i say "i thought you were broke? cause now you done spent $1200 on products"
long story short..........save some more money and get better products the "first" time.

The thing with Clarion is that it is engineered by Nicola Engineering / Robert Zeff. The older discontinued versions go for very cheap and at the same time have a very high quiality build. Check this out:
http://www.sounddomain.com/memberpage/409848/5 Scroll down to ARC Audio / Clarion part. This is pretty much the only real bang for the buck you can get. High-end product for VERY cheap.

Planet Audio is simply the better product out of all the $**** brands out there.

An Autotek SS350.2 and a single Adire Shiva (www.adireaudio.com) would be in your pricerange and would sound very good. Don't buy two subwoofers on that kind of budget, it's not worth the measly 3db gain vs one of the same driver. $400 is plenty enough to satisfy on the lowend if you know how to spend it.

Elemental Designs also has some good drivers available in that pricerange, and if you're more geared towards SQ, the a/d/s 312.r sounds absolutely fantastic and can be found for little over $120.

http://discountjungle.net/clarapbridam.html

on the ad it says it's the DPX but i called them and they told me it is actually the APX, and it's also written on the bottom next to the price as APX 1000.2 For $229 it seems like a great deal. I'll tell you guys the condition and if it's the right model when i recieve it in a few days.
