Please recommend door speakers, 99 LS400
Ok, just added a kicker 8" sub speaker, amp coming for it this week, looking to upgrade door speakers next (fronts now then rear later). Pretty sure stock size is 5-1/4" which is fine.
Stock pioneer HU and amp so I don't need anything really fancy - 50 watts RMS, 2 ohms I think would be best.
Please offer some ideas: infinity kappas, pioneer, etc. Looking to spend under 100 for a pair, so no boston acoustics or MB quart probably

i love infinitys, but you will have to switch out your head unit. your stock unit will not produce the right sound quality. get a spare amp for your mids and highs and one for your sub. good luck

hmm i'm llooking to leave the stock HU alone, so maybe the infinity's are overkill since they won't be fully utilized? Not looking to spend any more $$ on amps right now, just put in a sub amp.

^ yeah I haven't been really ..just threw BA and MB names out as what I *can't* afford; if I can find some reasonable speakers that sound better than my 10 year old pioneers, i'd be ecstatic. I'm not much of an audiophile.
On an unrelated note, what is the correct way to dynamat/deaden the rear deck so that a new sub won't make it rattle? I have a 8" sub in the stock spot, 100w w/ a new amp, but my rear deck is going a little crazy. Just by looking it seems like most of the noise is in the trunk, sort of from the underside of the deck.
