Default Noob Question need answered please bout the SC

The stock CD player I have doesn't work. I wanna put a headunit in it and was wondering what people are using on here as far as that goes.. Probably wont get a DOUBLE DIN so ill have to make a bracket piece? do i lose the sub with a aftermarket head unit?

The stock brackets will hold any aftermarket headunit you put in there. Be it a single din or double din. If you opt to use a single din, get a "pocket." Either option you choose, you need to make a 1/2" filler piece so there's no gap by the ash tray assembly. Our stock radios are 2.5 din, that's why.

Thanks guys. What about connecting the stock sub and amp to the Double Din? Will I loose quality with the stock speaker setup? I'm picking up a Dub Din JVC dvd tonight then if my questions are answered.

no cause the quality of the stock speakers suck. lol. but the only time the quality would change is if u switch ot the amp or change the speakers.

Most head units have a built in amp, so what I did was just wire up the speakers directly to the unit and bypass the stock amp.
