I just had my 15" Kicker L7 and 1200watt rms Hifonics Brutus amp installed yesterday. Im pretty happy with it but every time my bass hits all the lights in and out practically go out...would a cap fix this and if so what farad should i get? Also you guys think i should take off this decal the shop put on? They give me good prices for advertising but i kinda think it looks like *** and screams break into my car.
you should look into a better battery or a bigger alternator. a 2-5 farad cap would help as well, but like mentioned before it's not going to fix the problem completely.
you should slap the guys for putting the stickers on like that. did you ask them to do it like that? I'd take them off, or at least just put it on your rear window only.

No i wanted a white one across the top of my back window and when i got back to pick it up they had it like that i was in a rush so i just said whatever and left. Is it bad for the paint?
If you ever decide to remove the sticker (like to sell the car), you will be able to see exactly where the letters were placed. Paint fades slightly in the sun but not under the sticker.
my god! u actually let them put that sticker on your car? thats just embarrasing, sorry dude. at first i thought u watermarked the photo in pchop so no one would steal your pics...LOL.
Before you get a cap get a deep cycle battery. Then a higher output alternator next. caps are pretty worthless. i have a 1 farad digital cap and it hardly does anything but dress up my trunk.
From a strictly theoretical point of view, what you need is a resistance (R) (e.g., a coil of wire) between the battery/alternator and the capacitor (C) and the amplifier to form an RC circuit. A larger battery may help, but I can't see a larger alternator helping much.
