this is the problem i am having
in the mornings the car is dead, it wont start,
but hen i jump the car anad drive it to work it is fine and will start for about 4-5 hours, so the battery is cahgring and the altenraotr is working, the problem is something must be drainging the battery, now i check all my amps, the tvs, the ps2 the lights and interior lights, and none of that is on..
how can i check to see if constant power is on somehwer?????? i mean it has to be something draining the battery every single night...
Have you had anything installed recently. It would be weird for something in your car to "all of a sudden" be draining your battery. If you have an aftermarket alarm, I would check their first. Do you have a circuit breaker for your audio? If so, I would trip the breaker so all of your audio is off over night. Then if your battery is dead the next morning, you know it's something else...
hehe what in the world is a lojack..
themechanic at my dads dealership might have one
Lojack... its a tracking unit for your car. If it gets stolen the cops turn on the tracker and they find your car (if its not already in a container). When i was working at the dealership, some of the cars with Lojack had problems with the brain going bad and then trying to maintain power. so it would drain battery juice for the 12 volt source. But thats neither here nor there...
Check your door, trunk and glove compartment latches... sometimes those go bad. also, check for any sort of wiring that may be tapped into a 12 volt source other than the battery. Sometimes those will drain power away from the battery (Neon lighting, that sort of thing). i know it sounds dumb, but check all your interior lights. one of them may be on and you just dont know it. like your back seat lights...
it has been doing this since the halltech interceptor install (my EMS).. you think that oucld be dong it ?
Rick, you need to go back to the the installer who did your Haltech stand alone. They must have tapped into a constant wire which is draining the battery.

Like I said... 12 volt power source... Great minds think alike!
