I live in an area with a lot of car break-ins. That in and of itself is bad enough, but to make it worse the bastards that are breaking in pry the window in order to break it. Breaking the window that way damages the door as well, which makes it pretty expensive to fix.

I just brought my IS350 home and am wondering if anyone knows of an after market alarm that ties into the stock Lexus alarm that will add an external proximity sensor.

The dealership has one but it will cost $450. The alarm is after market so I know it is out there and can be had for cheaper than the dealership is offering it for. I am going to call my saleman tomorrow to see if I can get the brand.

In the meantime, I am hoping some folks on this board will have some insight. I have only had the car for 24 hours and absolutely love it. I don't want any punk criminals even touching it.
