Default Lexus Alarm -- How Sensitive?

Okay so my wifes Tacoma got broken into last night. The f**ing a*shole basically shattered out the driver side window and stole her iPod and Navigation. She is really good about not leaving stuff out but I she definitely forgot last night. I think she learned her lesson.

I am curious, how sensitive is our alarm? I understand the manual uses the term "forced entry" but I have also read some instances where the alarm didn't sound. Anyone have experience as to what situations will trigger our alarm, like a shattered window?

US SPEC IS250 / IS350 do not have Intrusion Sensors...

Other markets have them...

Tint those windows...although not the primary reason for my tints, and I have always tinted, it can help in these situations.

Oh, well i used to have a 02 Camry and it actuallt came with a glass breakage sensor, and to test it, if u tap on the glass with like a key pretty hard, the alarm went off, and this was the orginal security system, thought Lexus would have this setup on their cars

I keep the FOB deep in my pocket, alone with no rings or anything.

Key ring with 3 other keys stays in the car center console.
