Does anyone have this head unit with the Eclipse iPod adapter. How is the control with this piece?
I currently have an Alpine & was wondering if this setup is the same, better, or worse?

 

the avn5435 interface with the ipc-106 is really limited and pretty crappy. it comes up like a cd changer, there's no text and the way you "search" is very limited. the first navi screen that was made to fully search through the ipod was the avn6600

 

sorry to go off on a tangent but do you know if the new eclipse CD3200 will have that upgraded search feature on the ipod?

I personally decided to just get a garmin unit for navigation.

 

yes everything from 2006 forward has been ipod compatible
