Default iphone and LS460

Anyone had success in transferring their contact data from their iphone to their lexus - I have a 2008 LS 460 and I can't get it to work. Any work arounds? Do the ipod integration systems allow you to do that or do they just allow you to play the ipod function of the iphone? Also, any word on when the Toyota Ipod integration kit is coming out in the US?

Default long workaround...

Unfortunately, Apple did not see fit to put an option on their phone to transfer contacts through bluetooth at all there is a workaround, however, that I frequently use (I work at a Lexus dealership setting up the Bluetooth systems) You need to use iTunes to transfer your contacts to the computer. Then, you need to have another phone (sony ericssons work great for this) that will transfer contacts through bluetooth. Transfer the contacts to this, put them in the car, and then pair up your iphone. The contacts should be there, and then you'll be able to use them with your iphone.

good luck

Default

I used a similar workaround with my Tungsten T5 Palm Pilot...had to load the contact info on the Palm, then sync it (transfer the contacts) via bluetooth to the Lexus Handsfree. After that, am able to dial using the lexus handsfree on the nav system to call numbers that are on my iPhone. Cumbersome, and doesn't always work the first time.
