I just bought a '93 SC400. The stock Nacamichi stereo had no sound coming out of the left front and the right rear speakers. I drove it in the rain and now I have no sound coming out of any speakers. I've read some threads, and it seems like my problem may be related to the amp. Is this correct? If so, what is the fix. This is my first Lexus so I'm not familiar with the layout of the audio configuration. Any help would be appreciated.
hoheka, From your discription one of the two drain tubes has disconnected that is located in the right rear corner panel of the trunk. Take down the trunk lining this will give you access to the 2 drain tubes. If you see water this is not good and your amp is probably fried. Make sure both are properly connected.
I took apart the trunk and found that the plastic box (look's like some sort of vent) that's mounted below the amp, was missing one mounting screw. Dirt and water were definitely coming in. I cleaned it up and let the amp dry out and I'm back to where I was. I think my left front and right rear channels may be fried, but at least I've got some sound back.
Thanks for info. It saved me alot of time.
BTW you don't happen to know anyone that's selling an amp, do you?
