Default mark levinson amp location

i got my amp changed by the dealership under warranty because it was causing one of my speakers to sound distorted, I just got the car back today and my speakers DO NOT sound the way they use to it doesn't sound crisp and clear when u turn it up all the way. So I dont know what to do and dont feel like dealing with the dealership yet and wanna see if I can tune it myself, can anyone tell me where the amp is located? thanks

It is located in the trunk. Lift the trunk mat and it is located at the right (passenger side). Don't know if it is possible to tuned it.

I checked it and no it's not tunable, I dont know what to tell the dealership as to why it would do that. it doesn't just sound a little different but it's sounds so bad that when my little 14 yr old sister was in the car she noticed it and had no clue that I even did anything to the car so... I was just wondering could anyone give me some ideas before I go to the dealership and have to deal with them trying to give me excuses saying thats how it "should" sound. thanks alot

Maybe you have a defective ML Amp or the connectors is not properly seated. You may want to try reseating the cable connectors on the amp. I would just bring it back to the dealership. Have you tried cycling the audio control (ie: treble, mid, bass, fade and L/R) between the two extremes? There is a procedure that must be done after installing the ML amp. Don't remember where I had seen the steps on the web. When I had my ML amp replaced I remember seeing a special instruction with the replacement ML amp.

One suggestion. Don't know if it would help. How about resetting it by removing the negative battery cable for 15 minutes. This is going to reset everything on your car. Maybe it would reset your ML audio system also.
