wait for the AVN5510. we should have them here in about a week or two. They'll be around $500 less than the AVN6600 with VERY similar features (minus the dual zone control). Plus they upped them to a true 7" screen.

yes, they stepped the AVN5510 up to pretty much the 6600 status. The difference between the 6610 and the 6600 is the 7" screen and the ability to run Sirius Nav Traffic. Pretty much that's it. Also a different interface on the new AVN units. I've yet to play around with it though. I'll keep CL posted on the new 6610 once I install it in my car

Basically the 5510 is da same as the old model 6600 with dual DVD except is "7 screen. What's da ball park price for the 5510?? I notice u can hook up the a bluetooth device.

yes you can hook up a bluetooth device to the new 5510. Full retail is supposed to be in the $1500 range or so. The only differences between the 5510 and the 6600 is that the 6600 has the rear seat entertainment mode and the 5510 has a 7" screen. Other than that they are exactly the same. Oh, and the 5510 has almost 2x the POI as the 6600

i'M not planning to put headread monitors, so the 5510 works just perfect. Most important i want two DVD slots, so i can have the GPS on all the time while playing music or dvd without having to swap out the GPS disk. When is the release date? I really want one now.

They should be shipping here any day now. I think it was estimated to be by the end of this week or next week. I'm just waiting for us to get them in so that I can try them out and see what the new interface is like. Plus I really want that bluetooth adapter for my car because I hate having to hold my phone to my ear while I drive.

still waiting. we called our rep yesterday because we were supposed to have them last week.

I called Fujitsu Ten and verified the 5510 is a single DVD player, So everytime i wanna play a DVD i'll have to take out the GPS disc. =(.. I guess my only choice is the 6610. I hope it hits stores sooon, i really wanna get it asap. Let me know when u get yours.
