Default Ipod integration

Hi Folks,

(before you ask, I did in fact search, but did not find a good answer just yet....)

Is there any *clean*, non-FM based way of integrating an ipod with our factory head units? It seems as though VaisTech does not make products for anything prior to 2001.....

THanks in advance!

im working on what is basically and AUX input but you won't have control over the ipod functions (skipping tracks and etc.)

on the upside it looks to be doable for pretty cheap

the one im building is inherently simple and acts as a simple AUX in. it SHOULD work for 1+2GS w/o nav, 1+2LS, and 1SC as well.

total cost should be <$100 il keep you guys updated.

Hey PureDrifter,

Will this work for a non nav for GX470 also? I have been looking around and all I see is the VAISTECH with Navigation. I just want an auxiliary plug somewhere so I can plug in the ipod. I know with this set up, I can only control the volume from the steering wheel and that's it...which is fine for me.

I am in Cali also...I hope you're in Southern Cali...sure would like to see how you did yours. I'm more of a visual kinda guy in order for me to do a mod, I need to see someone do it first. Hehehe!

I'd love something so that i can hookup my iPod to my factory stereo. The Cleansweep looks like a fantastic product, but at about $300.00 bux, it's a little pricey for me.

Not bad for $83 plus shipping. That's the most inexpensive item i've seen thus far.

EDIT:
Price jumps up if you include $30.95 Part # AUXPDRCA to link it up correctly. Brings price to $113.95 plus delivery.

Nice, but it does not work for the 98/99/00 GS 400's.

Oops, thought you were talking about their main product. I think you were referring to this item:

Does the CD changer in the GS 400 w/NAK have the AUX input so that we can connect either of the AUX devices to it?
