Default Strokers

Can a stroker handle SPL...Hell yeah they are a very dominant spl sub.

LexDriver- I have a 93 sc300 w/2 12w3's running about 1200watts to them. Also alpine cva1005,nav,12 disk changer,etc.

As far as amps for your L7's try kicker zr1000 or xs100 depending on ohm load.

Default CV's

E - SPL is exactly what the Stroker was designed for. Can't remember his name but some guy held the USAC record using Strokers in his Ford Bronco ( this was way before Alma Gates' "Beast" ).
Justin - The ZR1000 or ZR600 recommended by ITZ would drive the L7's nicely. If ya have the 4 ohm DVC L7's, wire the coils in parallel & bridge a ZR600 ( about 600 wrms/voice coil - pushing it but possible because the NEW L7's are tough ). The amp will be running in a 1 ohm mono load but I've seen Kickers do that before easily if ( like RF's ) U can keep them cool & supplied with adequate voltage. If U have the 2 ohm model, get the ZR1000 & run one channel per voice coil ( for 500 wrms/coil ). This 2 ohm stereo load won't strain the amp at all but since Kickers have an unregulated power supply, the more DC voltage U can get to them the more power they'll make ( & with less effort ). I've seen a major shift away from multiple drivers in sealed boxes to fewer one in vented enclosures so despite my recent SQ background, try a ported box for the extra dB output ( if ya R willing to give up some more trunk room ). U should be able to easily hit in the high 140's but alot will depend on the meter ( as I mentioned in my first post ). I'm hitting 140 & change with my sealed HX2's but that's on a B&K meter which, again ITZ pointed out, is typically 6-8 dB lower than other meters used at informal events like the Circuit City promotions. I guess I need to try one of those events & see if I can't hit the mid 140's on a less demanding meter!

I saw in a magazine that a 318 had two 15 inch Strokers, also used them as daily drivers. I am thinking he ran heavily high wattage into each coil.

Default 318?

EPK- I have that mag also...it's angelo kanci and he is a australian sq champ. It says his strokers are in a independant aperiodic membrane enclosure each off of a SS 702...about 700 watts each.
