Default Lexus said updated navigation DVD available in late November... $200-plus???

I have a '01 model and the DVD says "version 2000..."

The service manager at my Lexus dealer just called me and
said they'll get a new updated DVD at the end of November.
The estimated cost is $200-plus... He doesn't know how much
new info is on it...

Should I really shell out that much money for a new DVD?
Is there a way to get one for free? (for example, what if
my current DVD goes bad?)

First two upgrades should be free.
