Where is the best place to ground my amps in the trunk of a 92' SC? Thanks a lot!!!

 

The best place to ground any amp in any car is the frame.

 

I know that, but where as in best location on the frame? I found a spot, but it's too close to my gas tank in my opinion. Thanks!

 

You'll know a frame bolt when you see one. They are generally thicker than the others.

 

Wherever you do it, make sure that you strip any paint/primer off for the best contact possible. Also, the shorter the ground wire, the better.

 

gas tank ones work just fine.

 

Does anyone else have their amps grounded near the gas tank? If not, let me know where? Thanks!

 

I grounded my amps to the metal post behind the left inner fender carpet right near the power antenna ground. I made sure the paint was scraped away of course, drilled a hole and put a bolt and nut on there. Not a bad grounding spot for my 1/0 gauge.

 

Ground each amp to a different spot to insure no noise ( this is the best) but if you ground all amps at one place make sure that the larger wattage amp is on body of car first and the smaller grounds go on top of that.
