sub mounting
Awesome writeup. You certainly explained the problems and solutions in layman's terms and everything you said made sense. As you were explaining, I was thinking about putting 3/4" MDF on the rear deck then I got to the part where you recommended that very step. I thought about sandwiching the rear seat brace between 2 sheets of MDF but I believe it would interfere with the reinstallation of the back seat so I guess it would be 1 piece cut to fit put on the trunk side and screwed very well. This will also give a solid place to mount amps. Mine are still laying on that ledge in the trunk and slide around occasionally. I had planned on mounting them on a box but I don't want to lose the trunk space with a box. My GS is a daily driver. Your writeup has inspired me and I hope to get started on this project soon. I hope to sandwich the rear deck with MDF even if I can't do the seat brace. I am glad I waited now. This recommendation will solve all of my problems. Better bass, solid amp mounting, retaining my trunk space.

It looks like your system has rattled the "badge" off the driver side amp. Cool.
im gathering all the parts that i need for a sealed box setup right now
i hope its gonna sound good too
my sub box for 10" is only going to take up half of that space underneath the stock sub
i cant wait!
