Default Need help eclipse avn 5435

I just bought a eclipse avn 5435 for my GS 400, Do i need a wireing harness?. I am asking because the shop where i bought it told me that they dont make one for the GS. What should i do?.

So why did they sell it to you then?


If your familiar with audio installs, then just dive in.

But if your clueless, then either pay for them to install it or return it.


How much did you pay for it? I have the same unit.....

A wiring harness isn't needed but then you will have to splice into your car's wiring. You can buy those wire taps so that you dont have to cut the wires completely. If you don't have much electrical knowledge you should leave it to a professional because you can seriously mess up the electronics in your car or fry your brand new HU.

Just run new wires,
12v/Ground-battery
switched 12v-ignition
dimmer-headlight switch

i pretty sure they have a harness that will work made by metra. i think you can use part of the 1761 harness
