Default Metra Harness or Scoshe?

I'm trying to install an Alpine here but the guy who helpes me went to buy a Metra harness and they told him that it doesn't fit the Sc400.
I told him to buy Scoshe and he told me there is no Scoshe harness so now I'm comfused.
I know the Metra harness is used to connect the new amp in the trunk but what kind of harness should I use with my head unit??

I don't think there are any First gen SC specific harnesses out there. Although I think I recall someone finding another model harness that works.

87 and up toyota harness...if it's like mine, all you have to do is connect it to one of the stock wiring harnesses(of course the harness that fits it)...the metra harness adaptor comes with 2 harnesses but you only use one,the bigger one..check the wiring diagram, all it runs is the power/memory/ground wires to turn on the unit, then you have to run the wires from the rear harness to the deck...of coursing using the correct wiring harness adaptor too, check the wiring diagram for the all the corresponding speaker wires in the stock wiring harness in the rear too,it's completely different than the way the aftermarket harness is color coded for...good luck...any more questions post,i just installed mine,a big pain, but big pay off...\
