Default Ok so I need a new antenna.

My car is about to be painted and I had the antenna shaved. Any ideas on what to replace it with? I kind of wanted to use a short antenna with a base maybe off the back of the roof like the IS300's, but I can't find a universal base for it. Any suggestions guys?

some SC's actually have 2 antennas.. one in the rear glass, and the one we all know about. Both my SC's have em. My antenna stays down all the time, i disconnected the power to the motor. No problems with signal.

I thought the hidden/in glass antenna didn't come about until '96...

You said you can't find a universal base? As in, you've found the antennae but not the equipment necessary to mount it?

If this is the case, I don't see how the mounting base couldn't be universal. Shouldn't it just adhere to the body?

You're correct, problem is I can't find a base to mount these "universal" antennas to.

My antenna has been shaved, and the whole assembly has been removed. I don't want another stock location or stock SC300 antenna. I need a replacement, I prefer something short, roof mounted, but I can't find a base.

How about the "Shark Fin", like the ones found on the Bimmers and the Audi's??
I've always wondered how it would look like on an SC...LoL

Thanks, but can I mount this on my roof? Would I have to cut a hole in the roof to get the wire run into the car?
