The infinity perfect 10.1s are rated with a sensitivity of 94 dB. The sensitivity rating rates the ability of a speaker to create sound with the least amount of power. 94 is quite high when compared to other subs that rate around 85-87dB. Also, for every increase of 3dB, it requires HALF AS MUCH POWER to create the same sound.
So speaker A with a 85dB rating will require 3 times more wattage to create the same level of sound a 94dB rated speaker will create.
Keep this in mind so you can maximize all of those hard earned watts being pumped out of your sub amp and you'll be a happy gal.
Here are some reviews from epinions:
Review 1:
I bought 2 of these and put them in a sealed box slightly bigger than the .6 cu ft recommended by infinity and they still sound off the hook! I've got Dynamat in my trunk, but let me tell you that trunk rattles like it's about to pop open! All the lows are loud and clear, you can differentiate them with no problems. I got them hooked up to a Audiobahn 8000t mono amp and they each are being given continously 350-400 rms, which is what Infinity recommends. Never had any problems with them in the 4 months i've had them. Btw, I broke them in for 7 days at low volumes...some say 1 month, but it varies.
Review 2:
I bought two of these for my Grand Cherokee and built a custom fiberglass box for the speakers. The bass generated was so overwhelming that I had to go from two speakers to one. One speaker generates enough bass to please the average bass head or a person who likes to hear "all of the music" the low notes with no distortion or significant db change along its range. I went with a sealed enclosure for space, time and the best sound reproduction. Friends were amazed about the sound from the 10 inch sub. If you want to wake up the neighbors go with a bandpass configuration and you will be blown away.

I dont understand that (not to sound totally dumb) thats speaker talk and i dont know that language
Like ATLEAST a 800 watt amp???Or ATLEAST ??? watt amp?
Like in this screen shot can u break it down a little, does this mean if i got 2 of these speakers i would need atleast a 500watt amp or its saying 500watt max power because the RMS is 250??

I'll spare you the serious techie talk - think of RMS as the average power that the woofer can handle continuously. (It's not, mathematically, but you'll get the idea.) The peak power is the maximum power it can handle, but only temporarily. Given this, you size your amp so that its RMS power output is about equal to the speakers RMS power input rating. If you have more than one woofer, multiply the RMS number by the number of woofers to get the desired amp power. (Generally, all woofers connected to a single amp should be identical.) This roughly matches amp to speakers, and allows for temporary spikes in power (like those found in music) without blowing the woofer(s).

yea what he said, 2 10" woofers 500 watt amp, 1 10" woofer 250 watt amp roughly, doesnt have to be exact just around.
