I replaced all door/subwoofer speakers when I purchased the car. The Nak system was good but not good enough for me, hehe

-Boston Pros' in fronts/Rears
-Fosgate amp for mids/highs
-Fosgate power dvc sub
-Fosgate amp power bd1001

Believe me when I say it sounds amazing

The stock head unit has been tossed before I got the car. Thanks for the link. Wow nice work, that's real custom. I just wanted to change out the sub that's it nothing fancy.

Sealed. I had a sealed box with 1 sub. No ratteling what so ever. Got a ported box, rattlin all over the place, same sub. Whether its more air movement or more bass...i dont know.

Im thinkin the louder it is, the more ratteling you will deal with.

If you want simple... try a sub in a sealed box I have a sealed enclosure and the bass is clear and tight, I've got dynamat in my trunk now and even before I did that the rattle was very minimal if any... Really!

Default subs

I like this set up. Will everything snap back on with this set up. so it looks back to normal/stock. And did this set up rattle alot. Is that a 10"?

Is kicker C12 a free air sub?

no it is a 12 inch. i think the USDM has that size hole also?? the only issue you might have is the grill might need some trmming. or should i say the underneath part. the sub might hit it when turned up but the mounting is straight forward. mount it with nuts and bolts, screws wont work that well and the rear few are hard to get to with a screwdriver anyway. as far as rattles.. i never used this set up. i just did that to show what it would look like if replaced with a aftermarket sub. shouldnt e too bad but as with everything, i will rattle if given enough power or if not tightened down enough.

I may try this, even though I have never been a fan of free air subs. I have had 5 boxes in my car and they all sound like ***.
Two sealed, one 7th order band pass and two ported (one small one large)
and with different speakers. I have a type R 12 no and with a 2.5cf box it gets sooooper low but sounds muddy and...well... like butt
For that matter I cant get my mids to sound good either. I have had JL's, the old soundstream exacts and now the alpine type X's.
The only thing I havent changed is the deck...hmmm

BTW: you need to peep this thread https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=265071
