Default Auto open mod on sunroof?

Does anyone know how i would go about making my moonroof switch "one touch" operation to open it? i currently have to hold down the button to open it.

further explanation, i want to be able to have it open like the dirvers side window does, goes down if you press once...

I don't personally know how to wire this, but you could use a timed relay, so that it gives power to the moon roof opening command for however many seconds needed to open the moonroof completely.

i can wire it, thats no problem...but where do i get one fo these timed relays?

i was thinking actually of a sort fo trigger that would catch the moonroof at its fully open position and cut the power to it....hmmm...need to do more research. i have seen the one touch feature before on other cars, maybe ill pull one out of an 04 golf and see how it works...

I may have found what you are looking for on eBay. Since I can't give you the link to the specific auction per forum rules, do a search in eBay Motors for 'Autoloc window'. It seems like a pretty nifty item, it will make your sunroof both auto open AND close (not just auto open like OEM). I hope this helps.

well i appreciate the thought. i have found it.

unfortunately it wil not work... the sunroof will nto auto close. it has a stopper mechanisim that stops it halfway through the closing cycle, you have to depress the button again to finish closing (saftey feature).

the more i look at it the more i think this is not going to be possible. the wiring looks too complicated, and even if i got some sort fo pressure switch, it would draw too much power. the cars electronics are pretty much maxed. it would blow the main fuse.
