just got my nak amp sub and cd put back in. I bought the car and the orignal owner had an aftermarket amp and speakers in there
got all the factory wiring put back together (i have no idea how!) but the rear speakers had the factory wires removed and have aftermarket wires hanging from the back deck
can anyone provide the way to connect my speaker back to the system. I have no idea what i am doing in general but i did get the system to come on with the sub, tweeters, and front speakers working only beacuse the factory wires were there.
can anyone help so i dont have to pay someone to do this???
Are the factory wires still coming out of the amp that go to the rear speakers? Surely he wouldn't have completely cut them out Check near the amp and see if you can find the cut wires. If you do then just attach new wire to the cut ends and run it to the speakers.
do you know what color the wires are? there were so many and i mean many wires cut that i connect them all back together because i was experienceing a power drain on the battery
if you can please tell me the colors that would be great!!
Ok I am not sure here because I can see under the back deck very well. I believe the rear speaker wires are Black/yellow and White/Red and here is the reason why. The wires that run up to the front speakers are twisted together. They are like turquiose/purple and light blue/another color. The only other wires that are twisted together coming out of the stock amp are Black twisted with yellow and White twisted with red. Look at your stock amp( keep in mind I have the pioneer system but I would think that the wires would be similar) and see if you see these 2 sets of wires cut. I am sorry I can't be certain but I don't want to take apart my back interior. Hopfully someone else can chime in if they know.
