Default CD changer error

I searched but could not find anything that helped me.
When you put the CD magazine back in and try to play the disc all of them come up as errors. Any suggestions as to what to do?

Your own burned CDs? Or regular ones?

My changer is acting funny too, after every 2-3 cd changes, i get errors on every cd. I have to take out the magazine and put it back in, then it'll do it again.

Early signs of CD changer failure. Mine would do that... random errors on a variety of discs. Try putting in some older store bought discs you know the changer was able to play before. (the player can be finicky with various makes of CD-Rs, so that's not a good gauge). If you get random errors with several good store bought CDs, then start saving up for a replacement changer. Mine went from that to very staticy music (when it was actually able to read a disc) then eventually unable to read anything. Replaced it with a unit off ebay and back in business.

My CD changer does that when its cold.

When it says 'error' though, usually I can turn off the power to the stereo system, and then turn it back on to make it work again. Sometimes it takes multiple attempts.

After the CD changer plays for a while, I have no problems with the error messages.

hmm...happened to me too....i've had the car for a little over three months, and never had a problem until yesterday. During my morning drive to school, i was getting a little static in my songs, but i didn't think anything of it. Then on my way home from work (after classes), i got an error message. I tried all 12 CDs (mix of burned and store bought), and got error on all of them. This morning, I ejected the CD mag, and took out all 12 CDs and put them back in, reinserted the mag, and still getting error on all 12 CDs....and I've tried switching on and off.....

This is so all of a sudden...is this normal? what's a decent price for a replacement 12CD changer? hmm...or maybe it's a sign - time to upgrade the stereo..kekeke

Just interested in what brand/model of cd changer you went with to replace OEM unit.
I am having problems with my changer as well and am looking to replace soon.
Thanks

Default Replace the 12 disk changer?

If you really want an easy replacement for the 12 disk cd-changer, check this out: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...light=compuman

Mine has been in now for over a year and is working perfectly.
