Default 2454 or 2494 Which one???

Poll: Which screen should I get? I have to know before Monday.... btw.. this is for a lexus sc400...

The AVX 2494 comes with a 20 gig harddrive for mp3 storage...this plays Mp3s, DVDs, and CDs....It also comes with a memory stick drive that I can put my own pictures as backgrounds on the screen...this is the pretty much the only reason why I want to get the screen so I can put backgrounds....This is also touchscreen...

This 2454 is the same size and is also touchscreen...There is no 20 gig harddrice and there is no memory stick slot. This means I cannot upload my own images. However, there is touchscreen navigation so I will never get lost again. but, I probablyt won't be traveling long distances with my sc.

Im getting one of them installed on monday before school starts, so I just wanted everyone's opinion. Thanks ahead of time

i'd get the navigation, just because you can always burn cd's, mp3's, and movies. navigation is very nice to have. and its pimp factor is way higher than "hey look at my backround today" haha.

I read the new replacement for the 2454 is going to have 5v pre out and a 30 gb hard drive. It will be called the avn5495 and supposedly it will cost less than the current version.

Oh that just sucks (for me anyway). I've been sitting on my 2454 for 6 months, too busy to get it installed (I did not plan for it to take so long. ). By the time it is, the new one will probably be out.

Just letting everyone know I just got finished talking to a representative from Eclipse about this new AVN unit. It will have a 30 gig hard drive, 20 for music, and 10 GB for dedicated Navigation. It will be coming out in april.

Does anyone know anyone that has a hook up with Eclipse?

Did the rep tell you the price for the AVN5495? Man, if it's gonna be cheaper than the 2454 (cheaper retail, I guess), then it might be worth the wait.

I guess I can bring my portable radio and play it in my GS for the next 3 months.

I asked Eclipse about the AVN5495. They say it is plug compatible with the AVN2494 and therefore a quick swap is possible. Just an FYI to those who have the AVN2494 and was thinking of upgrading.
