I just bought Dynamat XTREME 36 square feet - bulk pack. I know how to remove everything in the trunk, The rear deck, the back seat and the doors but how do I remove the front seats?
After the front seats are out, how easily does the carpet come up? Do I need any special tools?
If a mod doesn't move this, try posting over in the audio, video, electronics forum. That's where interior removal and extra sound deadening issues are discussed in most detail.
The front seats are bolted down to the floor panel....remove those bolts...i believe there's 2 up front and 2 in the back of the front seats. The problem you will have is the seat belt as it is anchored to the base of the front seat.....this needs to be removed before hauling the seat out.
You might want to try a search. I sort of remember some threads discussing this. Getting the front seats out is not the difficult part, most every front seat just has those four bolts holding it down (usually running it all the way to the back reveals the fronts and then running it all the way forward reveals the backs), but I recall I remember that getting much of the carpet out was complicated requiring the kick panels and part of the console to have to be removed. And that's why I haven't gotten the interest in spreading more sound deadening around even though it really helps the GS.
PHML, weren't the one looking for places to get the DSC T1 a while back? Did you ever get it?
