I have a Phoenix Gold 5.0:1 amp and 2 - 12" Kicker Comp (not VR). Can you tell me if this setup is correct, in terms of power supply?

If I read it correctly you are trying to wire up a pair of 4ohm SVC subs to a monoblock amp that is rated at 4ohm-mono (2ohm-stereo). No it won't work. Look for a different amp that will do 2ohm-mono (example: 400watts x 1 @ 2ohm).... or look for a pair of 4ohm DVC subwoofers.

 

You should be fine. Thats a typo on that site. There would be no stereo in 2 or 4ohm. If you go to the pg site it will show 2ohm mono.
