I have used some like these for 25 years on all my vehicles. It totally realignes the angle of the seatbelt as it comes up from your stomach area. It helps a lot if you are slightly hunched when seated too.

Based on personal experience, I would suggest against using this tool unless it is impossible to drive without it!

I had an accident 4 years ago where I hit a 1.5 meters high cement road block at 50mph. Imagine going from 50mph to zero in a split of a second.

I hit the road block head on, slightly more towards the right front corner of the car. I was wearing the seatbelt and my body literally jumped off the seat side ways towards the front right corner of the car. My face was like 1 inch away from hitting the rearview mirror at full speed…. What saved my face from being smashed by the rearview mirror was the seatbelt section that runs over my chest which pulled me back

My point is, that tool will let you loose the benefit of the seat belt section that goes over the chest, which was put for a reason in modern cars compared to 1980’s style seatbelts

Every person has a different body type. My ls460 had an adjuster that would raise the self belt up or down to fit you correctly. However this car doesn’t have one. An improperly fitted seat belt can do more damage than good. A seat belt going across your neck is no good. These clips from Amazon help position the seatbelt to a safer position. The pictures are a bit drastic.. Moving it an inch or two makes a big difference.

This type of clip doesn't prevent the seat belt from crossing over your chest, it just changes the angle. lf left to rub on your neck, it becomes a big enough irritant that many drivers will forgo wearing one at all. If one is paranoid about not having enough protection, then they should invest in a full harness, such as I had on my RZR utv or racing cars have.

One like this for example:

Not that the tikit is expensive, but you can go to any bone yard and out the metal part of a seat belt or part of the strap off, or you could get a seat belt extender, the kind they give portly people on a plane, and click it into the female part of the seat belt system,

Or you could use one of these which is what I have on all my vehicles. Just changes the angle of the belt so it doesn't rub your neck. In an accident, the belt will slip out of it real easily.

I think thats a little off topic. My solution is to stop the bell ring without using the seatbelt

It's not off topic for the original post. That's what we should be referring to.

Its like the side of the seat belt is acting like a knife blade rubbing into my neck. I only have 848 miles on my 2024 IS convertible. I just adjusted my shirt collar do it rubs on the shirt.

Lol. I’m 5’8” and dealing with the same issue. I mostly wear T shirts and I constantly trying to pull the collar up so that the edge of the belt doesn’t rub my neck.
I bought these adjusters on Amazon.

it fixes the belt on the neck issue but the clip itself presses against my waist/stomach and that brings another level of discomfort. I haven’t used it so maybe it’s something I can get used to. But yeah, this is the part I hate most about the LC; the lack of seatbelt height adjustment.
