Sick.....you shudn’t have to continually post what’s issued in the manual. Folks act as if they are too busy to look it up for themselves. Amazing. Hell, the manual is even stored as a searchable PDF document on line. How easy does it have to be?

Sadly, my manual is all in German, and my German is pretty bad. Dealer *apparently* couldn't get me an English one due to covid. Multiple online searches showed nothing. I have the workshop manual in English, but couldn't find anything in there either.
Oh, and the German manual is only ~180 pages long, and has no detail about removing the seat to open the boot.
Will look for this pdf, I plainly need it!
So Sickpuppy really helped

Reason: Adding detail
Charedj.... There is a long version and a short version of the manual on line. You apparently are looking at the at the quick guide version. For a more detailed explanation, the actual manual is what you need. Good Luck!

Speaking of batteries...
It's now going on close to 5 years on the 2018 factory batteries. The last and rare post about someone replacing there's was a year ago.
I am curious of those who Have replaced an original LC battery. Which one did you get? Any issues on the restart after replacement? Did you lose radio presets?
Were you just being proactive or did you Need to replace. I'm leaning towards to Odessey over the Optima.
I've always replaced my own battery, or had AutoZone do it on every car I've owned. I may make an exception here and have the dealer install it. 🐓

Can I hook up a battery tender to my 2018 Lexus LC 500? Do I have to disconnect the battery? Is there under hood access or do I have to go through the trunk?
Moving to the right Forum .... Salim
Hello, I have a 2018 LC with only 2,068 miles and just took it out yesterday on a 10 mile cruise. Original battery. I purchased a battery tender(actually 2, 1 for my RCF) from my Lexus dealer. They are actually Battery Tender brand that licensed out for Lexus. Instead of their decal on it there is a Lexus decal on it. Very easy to install and use. You just attach one cable to the battery(using existing hardware) and the other side of the cable has a plug. The other plug has a cable attached to the tender. I keep mine in the trunk so I can plug it back in when I get home from driving it. I’ve seen a couple of Lexus dealers selling brand new ones on eBay around $75.00. I don’t drive my 2 garage queens in wet weather. Living in Seattle gives me little time because it rains all the time here. I still have my original battery on my 2015 RCF about 8 1/2 years. Always been a tender on both cars since new. I hope this helps you. By the way Lexus sent me a letter a couple years ago about people complaining about their battery dying. They recommend keeping it on a tender while it sits for a while.
I know the guys in the RCF and GSF sub forums have put these in their cars to drop weight. They also come with a fob to start your car when the battery is dead
Exclusive RE-START Technology: Wireless Jump-Starting built-in; just press the button on your Keyfob remote.
Sam’s club has the size 94 H7 battery that fits our car for $139.88. They also carry the AGM version for $199.88.

Strange thing is that my 2018 lc has a dead battery that won't start again even after a 30-mile highway drive, but will ignite after a jumpstart. I visit an auto shop that says they don't service LC battery because the battery system is new.

I had a feeling mine was ailing but as it turned out it is just fine but nonetheless I currently have an enhanced flooded battery which I don't think I've seen mentioned on this forum. This provides the same 70 Ah output and the same CCA as the original. However, it charges on the car in double quick time and much, much faster than the original which makes it an ideal choice if you don't use the car for a week or more. From memory, this was something like $100 and quite why anyone would pay the OEM price is way beyond me. It does seem that yet again a manufacturer trying to create mystery and myth by suggesting theirs is the only battery you should fit. It's a battery for gods sake and unless Lexus or whomever have found a way to change basic physics if you are replacing with a similar Ah and CCA it will work!
Yeah, I'm shocked the OEM battery from 2019 is still working in my LC in Phoenix where the heat kills them. Of course my car doesn't sit in the sun much though. But just in case it helps anyone, the battery is covered under the standard warranty if it should fail in that time and my service manager says you can usually get a year of grace period if under miles.
My car was starting a little week so when I had it in to the dealer for an alignment I had them check it and it was failing. The replacement was ~$220 plus $60 installation labor. The nice perk is that it's a 2 year 100% P&L warranty and 50% P&L warranty for years 3 and 4. It's an Interstate battery and also what my rep said is that if it fails during this time, you get a full warranty on the replacement battery. With that info and the convenience of it, having the dealer do it was a no brainer.
