Default Fix LC bumper scratch

Hi everyone,
I recently scratched my infrared LC500's front-right bumper. The scratch is about 4-inches long and is located near the bottom. I'm wondering how much it would typically cost to repaint it in a repair shop, and would you recommend to DIY it myself using a touch-up paint kit? Thank you so much!
Here is the scratch: (I feel so bad even looking at it)

Get it done professionally....It's an LC and its gonna cost you! Your scratch looks really bad. Is there a hole? If so, that will cost even more!
I had a light scratch on the rear bumper of my 2013 LS460. Estimates came in from $675 to $1300 and that was several years ago. Good Luck.

I had an estimate to get my front bumper repainted at an upscale auto body shop whom I have used in the past. It was $950. I figure I will let it get a little more beat up. It only has a few stone dings which can only be seen from about a foot away.
Good luck I know how you feel once you see the scratch you can't un see it

Thanks buddy,
There isn't a hole and the scratch actually didn't go deep. But thanks for the price estimation, I'm thinking of going to a repair shop today and asking for a price as well!
I'm going to keep this car for a while, do you think I can do a touch-up paint myself temporarily? Could the touch-up paint potentially damage the paint furthermore?

Yep....How you want your car to look is a personal preference. I wouldn't be able to stand it. Maybe you can.

This is my first time scratching a car and I have no idea how the touch-up paint would look compared to a professional repaint lol. Any experience with that?

^ touch up paint for something that big is NOT going to look good man. Even from 10 feet away you'll be able to see it quite a bit. Its completely uneven. Even if you sanded down that particular spot it'll still look weird. You can potentially try to respray that panel yourself, but that infrared color is going to be hard to match without some professional work.

not 100% certain but i recall on savagegeeses video, he said the bumper $ for our cars is quite affordable. its just the doors/hood/trunk thats super expensive due to the carbon reinforced plastic (CRP) materials.

It should be the same cost as a regular bumper repair in most shops. I would ask the shops for how much a infrared LEXUS RC bumper fix is, and then use that as a baseline for comparision. Whatever you do, dont tell them you have an LC first.

I am no Touch-Up expert... Never had to deal with anything bigger than a pinhead or thicker than a hair. And even though I attempted repair, I didn't try to blend or level it. My repair basically was for surface protection. Your scratch looks really bad....If you haven't dealt with anything like this before, it is probably beyond your skill level.

Have tried to do those paint chip repairs on previous vehicles I've owned and never had any luck making them look right, but that is just me personally. The LC is the best car I have ever owned. My intention is to clean it and whatever it needs besides that will be done professionally. Damn these are beautiful cars and rare. I just turned 69 and believe this will be my forever car, however I may add a car or two around it but it is a keeper.

I had a scratch on my maserati back in 2018 from parking (front overhang on the maz is ridiculious) and i got it quoted from the ferrari maserati dealer $3800 for the repair.

I tried this scratch doctor touchup paint and even after sanding it down / reapplying it like 4-5 times over the course of a week, it never looked right. When the sun hit it, or the light changes, you can easily see this patch.

Ended up just biting the bullet and paying $3800
